Dear parents and carers, welcome back to the Summer Term

The children will need their PE kits on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This should be T shirt, shorts, and plimsolls.
If your child wears ear-rings, please ensure that they can take them out themselves, or do this for them on PE days.

The children will be doing their Key Stage 1 SATs this half term. These include maths, reading and writing tasks. It is important that children  complete homework set, some of which will be practice SATs papers. Encourage your child to do as much unaided as possible, but do help out on the more difficult questions if needed. Homework will be set on Fridays and should be returned on the Monday.

In addition spellings will be given out on Fridays and tested the following Friday, please help your child practise their weekly spellings.

Please try to read with your child as often as possible. Feel free to make comments in the blue reading record book about how your child got on, pages read etc, your child could also write comments if wished. Did they like the book? Please ensure your child brings their book to school every day.

During the summer term we will be studying a variety of topics including Plants and animals, Buddhism, The Fire of London, Puppets, Buildings and much more!!

If you have any concerns, please make an appointment to come and see one of us.
