News from St George's CE Primary School
Hello Everyone and welcome back to a new school year,
I would like to welcome the four new staff members we have this term and to welcome back Mrs Craig from her maternity leave. Please check out the staff list for more details.
Well we have hit the ground running yet again, with lots of exciting things planned for this term. These include Harvest, a visit from a theatre company and a visit of the children to both the cinema and the theatre. We will be invovled in the Barrow Multi Cultural Festival and will also celebrate Christmas around the World. We have discos and a Fayre planned when the children and parents can enjoy time together.
Our Toddlers group have grown and is now open three mornings a week. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9-10 am.
We have been invited this year to be a Lead school in Assessment for Learning. This is an exciting opportunity for us to work collaboratively with other schools to share the good practice in our school with others.
Please keep up to date with more details of curriculum and activites for each class by visiting the classes own sections. Keep a look out for contributions from the children, we are hoping to get them more invovled in the website construction this year!
